The Mini Cam teams were spread over three separate sites near Warrington.

They wanted to take advantage of various leases ending to bring the business under one roof and realise efficiencies in their operations.

The challenge was to create a new space with an office environment combined with production and R&D facilities together with an area dedicated to their van fit operation.

Mini Cam are the leading drainage surveying organisation in the U.K., developing drainage inspection technology alongside robot surveying equipment.

They wanted to create an environment where the business functions were contained under one roof and allow them to realise efficiencies within their operations.

Their new space was to provide multiple functions for office staff, production and manufacturing teams, R&D technicians, and extensive storage facilities, together with a dedicated area to accommodate the van fit out business.

Quantile Project Management were engaged for their project acquisition expertise, and developed a business case for Mini Cam and surveyed the properties under consideration giving strategic advice on the project and building suitability.

Two newly constructed light industrial units were finally selected.

Once the business case had been approved, Quantile Project Management were appointed to manage a tender and value engineering process with a shortlist of fit out contractors.

This project required a new mezzanine to increase the office area and a large tea point for the staff and town hall meetings to be held.

The brief provided challenges, particularly for the production team who were to be located in the warehouse, and how to provide control over the building temperatures. The design included gas heaters, cooling systems and independent draught lobbies with rapid roller shutters to manage temperature control.

This project had its challenges but ultimately we were able to deliver a beautiful and highly successful project which was inside budget and delivered on programme.
